2. Layer-1 - Solve the white cross

Rubik's Cube can be solved Layer by Layer.

Let's solve the first layer which is the White face.

Layer-1 - Solve the white cross

1. Position the cube in such a way that the White center is on the bottom side of the cube and Yellow is on the top. 

2. There are Four White Edge pieces. Now, search for them.

3. Set the cube in such a way that, the white edge piece is in Right face.  If it is in bottom layer, apply RR.

(i) If the White edge piece is facing Up, it is correct. 

(ii) If not, apply R' U F' U'

4. Repeat Step(3) for all the 4 White Edge pieces.

5. Match the color of the Upper layer Edge piece with  the center of the cube. Apply RR. 

6. Repeat Step(5) for all the 4 White Edge pieces.

7. Now, rotate the cube up side down. 

8. You will get the White cross.
